[Documents from the Michigan Geological Survey], 1911-1945.

This record group consists of several items from the Michigan Geological Survey. The first item is the book Errors in official U.S. area figures by Chase S. Osborn and Stellanova Osborn (Lancaster, Pa. : Science Press Print. Co., 1945). The book is signed by both authors and includes a map in back pocket showing established limits of U.S. and the Great Lake states through lakes Ontario, Erie, Huron, and Superior, and connecting waters. The second item is a paper entitles The post-war planning program applied to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, by Dr. Grover C. Dillman (1943). The final item is a letter to Mrs. Archibald Carey from W.J. Culver (Sept. 20, 1911). The letterhead is of the Stearns Salt & Lumber Company, Ludington, Mich. W.T. Culver is noted as the vice president of the company.
